Rush hour

My fall is just jam packed with exciting musical endeavours! No less than 3 programs with Chorwerk Ruhr: The premiere performance of a decades long forgotten passion by a rather peculiar, fench organ virtuoso at the Ruhrtriennale on September 12th and 13th. A program about war and peace under the direction of Yuval Weinberg with performances in Leuven and Gent. And a concert with Franz Schuberts grandiose mass in E flat-major in Bochum on November 1st. Nestled in between those is a masterclass about the British emperor of melancholy John Dowland, about whose music I'll be receiving impulses by the living legend Dame Emma Kirkby bekomme. All masterclass participants will present the results of their work in a joint final concert in Bremen on Oktober 18th. And finally I'm cracking a particularly hard nut: A concert by Banda Vocale Detmold as part of a festival for the hundredth birthday of Hans Werner Henze. The Programm with works by Henze, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Luigi Nono und Wolfgang Rihm can be heard at Konzerthaus Detmold on November 8th.
