A sound of touching clarity, refined musicianship and compelling expression - with these qualities young tenor Christoph Eder is captivating his audiences. In demand as a passionate soloist in oratorio and concert alike Eder is complementing his solo activities by singing in internationally renowned ensembles and choirs. A highlight of the current season is Eder’s debut at the Berliner Philharmonie’s grand hall in Joseph Haydns „Die Schöpfung“ with the Filmorchester Babelsberg under Sergi Gili Solé. The upbeat to the season was marked by Eder’s first own solo programme herzzuvoll - a partially staged re-interpretation of Franz Schuberts „Die Schöne Müllerin“ with performances in Berlin, Rostock and Hamburg. Ensemble highlights include Staatsballett Berlin’s production Nurejew staged at the Deutsche Oper Berlin by Kirill Serebrennikov in which Eder will be involved as a member of Vocalconsort Berlin, performances of Johann Sebastian Bach’s complete motets with the Gaechinger Cantorey under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann, the first german performance of David Langs before and after nature with CHORWERK RUHR and the Bang on a Can All-Stars under the direction of Florian Helgath at the Ruhrtriennale 2025 and a performance of Frank Martins monumental Mass for double choir with the Rundfunkchor Berlin.

As a studied musicologist Eder started his singing career in his mid twenties. He laid the foundations of his vocal education under the tutelage of Snežana Brzaković, Prof. Jörn Dopfer (HfMT Hamburg) and Florian Sievers (HfMT Leipzig), and is completing it working with Prof. Simon Bode (HfM Hanns Eisler) as of summer of 2025 . During masterclasses he received impulses by artists such as Nikolay Borchev and Karola Theill (Masterclass in Liedgestaltung in 2025), Patrick Grahl and Daniel Heide (Sommerakademie Schloss Hundisburg 2024), Lionel Meunier (Atelier at Musikfest Bremen 2024) as well as Hans-Christoph Rademann and Scott Weir (Bachwoche Stuttgart 2022 & 23). His participation in Balthasar-Neumann-Chor’s academy program and in the Schola hosted by Rundfunkchor Berlin (both in 2022) ignited his enthusiasm for professional ensemble singing and Eder now works with renowned groups such as Rundfunkchor Berlin, CHORWERK RUHR, Vocalconsort Berlin, Zürcher Singakademie, SCHOLA HEIDELBERG and LauschWerk on a regular basis. In the process he has worked with conductors like Kent Nagano, Kirill Petrenko, Thomas Hengelbrock and Christoph Eschenbach and performed on numerous stages of international recognition such as Berliner Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie, Bavarian State Opera and Komische Oper Berlin. Eder is also working as a freelance writer (with Elbphilharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin and Konzerthaus Dortmund) and in music management (for CHORALSPACE Berlin).
